    <descript>
Montana Legislative Districts for the 1995 through 2003 Legislatures. Each polygon represents a House District. Senate Districts are each composed of two House Districts, whose district numbers equal twice the Senate District number and twice the Senate District number, minus one.

The official boundaries from the Montana Legislative Council were modified at the State Library to remove parts of a few long, skinny Census Blocks that are in rivers. The un-edited data is available at the State Library at /gis2/home/clara/trenkh/plan4.

Annotation level 1 is for the Redistricting Commision district numbers, level 2 is for House district numbers, and level 3 is for Senate district numbers. The program used at the State Library to map this data is /gis2/home/clara/trenkh/93leg6.aml.
